THE MOM IN ME

Hello, I am Melissa (Missy) - a seeker of light, a witness to wonder, and a storyteller through the scared lens.

Before I ever held a camera in my hands, I held my babies. And that sacred, fierce, bondless love is what shaped me into who I am today. I'm a proud mama to two incredible souls.

My daughter Malorie, 20, is strong, graceful, and wise beyond her years. Beautiful blend of heart and fire.

My son Preston, who turns 19 in August, is full of quiet strength, deep kindness, and a light that makes every room warmer.

They are my greatest inspiration. Watching them grow has been the most breathtaking journey - tiny hands that once reached for mine now reach for their dreams. Every laugh, every tear, every late-night talk, and spontaneous hug has taught me to see life through the lens of tenderness and awe. And that's what I bring into my photography.

Because I know how fast it goes. I know how precious every chapter is, I know how much you'll want to remember not just how it all looked, but how it felt.

Being their mom has cracked my heart wide open and poured love into every photo I take. Whether I'm capturing your family or your journey, I come to it with the heart of a mama who knows just how much this moment matters.

To me, photography is more than images - it's presence. It's a meditation, a quiet honoring of the now. Each frame is a prayer of gratitude, a moment where spirit meets shadow, and truth gently reveals itself.

I don't just take pictures - I hold space. I listen with my eyes. I follow the whisper of intuition and let the light guide me. I began my photography career at the age of 23. I love every bit of it, late-night weekends with tired, sore feet, photographing the most beautiful families in their most precious moments. They will always be the reason why I do what I do in my life. I’m passionate about speaking the truth and teaching the things that have benefited me as a mama, an entrepreneur, and a believer of God.

I do believe that God has put me on this path for a reason, and I am so grateful that he will forever be a part of ME!! I am so blessed every day with my kids, and my work, so you’ll hear a lot of raw, real thoughts on how it is shaping me, challenging me, and changing me.
